they erased so much of her character even down to her wrist wrap she used to cover her family brand because they simply did not care about her own story. again, them erasing a characters depth. they used her as a love interest for eren when she is so so much more than that.
im going to put it frankly, in the wit adaptation mikasas only driving factor is eren. they took this incredible, strong, powerful, and caring character and changed her to make it seem like she doesn’t care about anything or anyone that isn’t eren, which is simply not accurate.
So male characters can have romantic feelings AND be strong at the same time. There is no problem with it. But a female character must choose between the both or her love cancels her strength 🤪
