An 8th consecutive day of zero cases of community transmission Australia wide. Importantly no lives lost, no COVID cases on ventilation, none in ICU & cases in Hospital down from 34 on Friday to 25 today. Sadly the world is likely to pass 100 m diagnosed cases this week.
I don't want to give this person's disgraceful, bigoted views any oxygen.
But when others insist on rewarding them with this country's highest honour – I think it's worth saying again:
Grand Slam wins don't give you some right to spew hatred and create division.
Hear, hear! Not since Tony Abbott wanted to knight Prince Phillip have we seen such an un-Australian absurdity on Australia Day.
Let’s not forget, the award Margaret Court is going to get is on behalf of the British Queen.
It’s shameful that she’ll get it, and nothing to do with tennis.
It’s also unAustralian that we still, in 2021, don’t have an Australian as Head of State, and our own national Awards.
