Last month, park biologists were excited to find one of Yellowstone’s rarest mammals triggered a remote trail camera outside the Mammoth Hot Springs area: a wolverine!

Stargaze during tmrw's new moon! Most stars we see are separated by vast space. If the Sun was grapefruit sized and on the west coast, Earth would be the size of a pinhead 50 ft inland. Our next closest star would be cherry sized and located on the east coast!

Grand Canyon is in the northwest corner of Arizona, close to the borders of Utah and Nevada. The Colorado River, which flows through the canyon, drains water from 7 states, but the place we know as Grand Canyon is entirely in Arizona. Photo/NASA from International Space Station.

Newspapers around the country reported on his death. Six months later, Congress designated his birthplace as a national monument— the first unit of the @NatlParkService dedicated to an African American!
