Republicans are telling me they plan to force Senate clerks to read the full $1.9 trillion relief bill aloud. Typically that process is dispensed with, but any single member can object and force a full reading of the bill.
That alone could take 10 hours — even before votes begin
This could backfire spectacularly on them & into our favor if they do this. I think that this may piss off Manchin & Sinema enough to deduct that if they are going to go to this level of spite, that solves nothing, then they will have to contemplate ridding of the filibuster.
@GThonks @QOrigins @PokerPolitics I love how matter-of-fact he is when he's talking bullshit.
“The letters in my alphabetti spaghetti add up to 147, which is the maximum break in snooker. And who's the current world number one? That's right, Judd Trump. So there you have it: proof that Donald Trump won!”
I am learning everyday on how to be an effective antiracist. I have so much work to do, and in no way am I saying that I got this all figured out. I know I don't. I will do my best to fullfill my role as an antiracist and ally. I will be mindful of this article in my daily life.
I brought this up to my kids school (charter school) principal which just ushered me to their mission statement, which was laughable if that was to point to black history education in their school. Take a look and see if you agree. I truly love this article.
I was so upset to learn that educators wrote the history books propping up American Exceptionalism and not what actually happened. That these founders never did wrongs worthy of discussing. I learned nothing of Juneteenth, Axe Handle Saturday, or Black Wall street in school! Why?
My tension is not out of fear for my safety, but fear of not being liked, not being accepted, and in a way those fears may be because they're black, or maybe because I'm white. I try to spend a lot of time being an antiracist so I find myself desperately seeking POC'S approval.
Blake Anderson took a leave of absence from Arkansas State to be with his wife Wendy, in her fight against cancer.
As he returned, he discovered the power of his wife’s legacy, the support from the college football community and the strength to face a season without her.
I found out I had cancer 9 months ago. Now I am in treatment & my cancer is 53% gone. I could not have made it through all the many hours & months of pain, 8 hour surgery, the long recovery, rediscovery of cancer, & the fight with her by my side! To my wife Jaime, I love you!
