Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez, who chaired the Big Ten’s return-to-play task force, had interesting comments today about Big Ten possibly having to reconsider its requirements for championship (with OSU in mind) From a conversation w The Detroit News today....
@realhuntdog23 @chengelis @RossDellenger Why play any games at all, then? We can just have Bama-Clemson-tOSU-Oklahoma until the end of time, and then not even play those games and just give Bama the trophy!
@Black41Reverse @chengelis I don't care either way about the commissioner, but how is it his fault?
The University presidents made the decisions, he got stuck trying to make it work - on a really short timeline.
@chengelis @RossDellenger This take is sorta like our elections last month. If we don’t get the results we like we’ll try to invalidate them and change them until we get what we want. Spineless!! If OSU is a top-4 team, which I believe they are, then they’re in. Blowing out Michigan doesn’t enhance that.
@chengelis Sure that was Alvarez on the phone and not Gene Smith? 😉
@chengelis Nah, the joke of a commissioner made his bed, let the conference suffer from it.
correct it by replacing his ass in February
